« PRSA Sunshine District Conference Update | Main | Metro Orlando EDC Mission Trip Starts Today »

Back online

The past six weeks have been a whirlwind. That's no excuse for not updating the blog but the good news is that you will start seeing a LOT of useful content over the next several days as I post updates with all the things that have been going on.

First, there was the PRSA Sunshine District conference held at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples last month. I have to extend my personal thanks to Joan Stewart, Jess Todtfeld, and Annetta Wilson who graciously accepted my invitation to serve as speakers, offering attendees a full day of media insights and training on the program agenda.

The Sunshine District board meeting was held in conjunction with the conference. Despite summer vacations and busy workloads, we had representation from every chapter in the district. I am humbled to lead such a dedicated team of seasoned PR professionals.

Next, Mark Victor Hansen's MEGA Book Marketing University was held last weekend here in Orlando. Yours truly was honored to host a breakout session with my presentation on the D.R.E.A.M. Principle(tm). In future posts, I'll share some of the new ideas, tips, tricks and techniques I picked up during the conference, but in the meantime, you can check out photos from the event.

Now I'm focused on the final preparations for the book tour I've produced for Mark Victor Hansen's and Art Linkletter's new book, How to Make the Rest of Your Life the Best of Your Life, just released last week (on July 17, Art's 94th birthday):

As you can see, there's a lot going on, but I will find time to update this blog more frequently as we move from the planning stage into the implementation stage for the book tour. I will also recap the media tips I picked up last week at the PRSA/FPRA Media Roundtable, including suggestions from one of People magazine's correponding reporters.
