Grant Norman gives amazing perfomance

We enjoyed a great show last night. Legendary broadway star Grant Norman and critically acclaimed performer Judy McLane opened their hearts last night to garner civic support from the Ocala community.

Fresh off his run as Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Grant mesmerized the adult crowd last night at One Night Off Broadway, a benefit to raise funds for the Centers, Inc. He's not only an outstanding performer, he's also a great fundraiser. He did a fabulous job getting members of the audience to open their wallets for auction items that included an on-stage serenade by him for one of the women attending.

The program agenda was rearranged at the last minute to accommodate Judy, who is suffering from bronchitis, but you could have fooled us. She gave a performance that brought the audience to its feet. She is currently starring as Tanya in the Abba-inspired Mama Mia.

Grant is off to Hollywood. Watch for Grant on Law & Order October 13.

TSA Hasn't Updated Online List of Banned Items

Today's the day airline travelers will have to start jockeying again to find space amid all those carry-ons. The federal government has relaxed the ban on liquids and gels brought inside the security area. We can once again carry on our toothpaste and MAC lip conditioner.

That's great news for business travelers. I'm headed back to L.A. in a few weeks and wasn't sure how I'd survive without my Studio Moisture Fix (it's great for keeping your face from drying out in-flight) in my laptop bag.

Looks like the TSA has relaxed their attention on their web site, too. A quick check this morning shows the list of banned items travelers can carry onboard has not been updated.

BlogOrlando Starts Tonight

Social media expert Josh Hallet has put together a fabulous lineup for BlogOrlando. I'm joining the early arrivals for dinner tonight at Kobe' in Altamonte Springs. It will be great to meet the authors of some of the blogs I follow.

It should be a fun time. I just hope they don't make fun of me for still carrying around that Canon brick S30. My new SD600 was shipped to Tallahassee house instead of the Orlando house (that's a whole other story on customer service and credit card security).
