I was invited to a reception and private tour of "Our Body: The Universe Within" last night at the Orlando Science Center, so my husband and I went. The exhibit was fascinating! There are over 20 authentic human bodies and more than 200 "parts and pieces" displaying everything from bones and muscles to veins and organs. Literally, every part of the human body is on display. It may not be for the very squeamish, but having attended an autopsy (research for that homicide novel I'm still working on), I found it more educational than creepy. Actually, it was quite interesting to see in "real life" how the human body is assembled. It's much more engaging than a sicence class or anatomy book. posted by Wendy Kurtz on December 4, 2006 10:31 PM
